WHAT IS FIRST AID?

First aid is the care that you provide to someone who is unwell or has been involved in an accident until the emergency services arrive.

It is important to only provide the care that you are trained to give and offer comfort and support to the patient and when in doubt always contact the emergency medical services.

There are many different levels of first aid training available from CPR to the three day first aid at work courses.

Which course is suitable for you depends on many factors, in the workplace it is dependent on the number of employees and also the level of risk at your place of work for example an accountants office is not going to be as high a risk as a manufacturing plant.

Individuals who want to learn about first aid can choose which type of course they want to attend, the courses range from online training that you can complete at home to a variety of courses that you can attend with a professional first aid trainer.

First aid training is not expensive and it may just help you to save someone's life........
